Post subject:  Greetings from Prague, Czech Republic

I am returning back to some military modelling after years. It all started back in 80 during late communism with some Revell Kits (with Airfix only available in 1 single specialist shop here) and of course with Kit Pro and OEZ models. After the change to democracy wide open world opened in frotn of me and I started to make and collect whatever I came to. Finnaly I stayed with Special Forces soldiers. After reading several books about Chel Ha Avir and IDF (mainly David Eshells Chariots of Desert, if I translate the name back to english from czech) I decided that I have to have some models from Israeli forces. I get Academy Merkava and Esci M60 Blazer, Italeri Kfir, KitPr Avia S199, Italeri F16 Barak etc. But that was abut 10 years ago.

Later on mostly due to lack of space I decided to continue my modelling with special forces figures and some years later I switch to another hobby - Fantasy and Sci-Fi wargaming...

Nowadays friend of my decided that we can try some modern skirmish wargames - and here I am back with my favourite IDF.

I immediately bought Revell 1/72 Hummers and CMK conversion kits, Caesar Miniatures Modern IDF Soldiers and opened all the chest in franical search for old models and minaitures (finding CH-53, OH-6) . It seems I am going to try to try all the techniques I learned as wargmer hobbyist in trying to be better military hobbyist again. I definetely want all my models to be up to date, to be usefull not only for the wargaming hobby but as a classic plastic kits as well.

And I realy want to try again classical military figurines. Sayeret Golani, Sayeret Matkal or Tzenchanim.

But all my info is frozen in time 10 years ago

So I humbly asked to be allowed to see the forum just to get a new advice and new stories and new background for military modelling of the IDF operatives

Cheers

Dalibor
