Hi all! Glad to finally be part of this forum. I have been looking at stuff for quite a while.
I am a very keen modeller and really enjoy IDF subjects amongst others.
I look forward to participating in the various forums and gleaning good information where needed.
Please see some of my IDF subjects at the following link:

Thanks for looking and all constructive criticism and advice is welcome! :D

Hello Eric,
First visit in your forum, and first sight showed swastika all over.
For me, it is a no-go there.
Who the fu_k will put a Nazi flag as his icon? very ill, I must say.

Hi Michael,

Sorry I misinterpreted your reply.

Now I see where you came across the Nazi flag.(in our club forum)
My humble apologies, I really did not think of that or realize that those were there. These icons are used by some of the club members who are avid German Armour modellers.
However I can see that this would be insulting to members of this forum, in particular.
Once again I apologise for my oversight.
I have removed the offending link. (I wish you or someone else would have brought this to my attention earlier, the post has been there since Jan)
Unfortunately I have no authority over what forum members use on their icons, so I can't change that.
Suffice to say that I am sure that these members have no idea or inclination as to the offending nature of their icons but use them to indicate their area of interest in modelling.
Unfortunately German Armour modelling does seem to attract a very large following somehow.

Again apologies, to anyone that may have been offended, this was surely not my intention.

Thank you, Eric

Thank you for your sensitive reply.
A Nazi flag, no matter what the reason of using it , is a slap in the face.
In Germany there is a law against using Nazi flags and emblems, but internet allows everything.
It is more sensitive in my eyes, and I am sure that in any Jewish or Israeli eyes.
I lost my family, almost the entire family, in the holocaust and every time I see people that adopt Nazi graphics so easily, I feel seek of them.

Yes, I do understand that thousands of modellers are building Nazi subjects in scale, but this is not considered as crossing the lines.

Again, thank you for your comment.

Michael
