We are trying to keep this forum as orgenized as possible.
For such important reason, we are trying to keep the threads under sub-forums, and the different subjects.

You are asked to search in the related/relevant sub-forums for the existance of the subject in the already posted topics/threads.

A new topic can be posted only and when it is not opened previously under a similar description.

Only in that way we will be able to have the information concentrated and accesible.

Double topics will be locked or deleted by forum's administrator and moderators.

Hope you understand the importance of this rule.

Hi all,

This is important site-wide, but it is especially true in the modelling sub-forums.

Look at all the double posts in the MBT modelling sub forum.

It's very difficult to follow a discussion on a single kit if it is spread over 3-4 posts.

Please consider others before making an "announcement" on a new kit or item.

Just a few seconds to check if the topic already exists.

Is a Merkava 3D released in Feb and a Merkava 3D Lic released in Dec a double topic?

I totally understand what we are trying to achieve but some may have felt justified in opening a new thread for this new kit.

I know people get lazy and look at the last page of threads rather than using the search button to find really old thread.

I read this thread long ago about double posts, and I agree that it makes sense and is a good rule to have in place. However, I am curious about the feelings of this forum regarding posts in other forums. For example, within the last few days, I posted some photos of a completed AFV Club 1976 Shot Centurion tank over on Armorama. Since this is an IDF subject, I thought some folks here on IDF-Modelling might be interested in seeing that tank. Is it acceptable to post topics that are the same between forums, such as in this example? Or would it be preferred to simply provide a link to the other forum where those pictures reside? I would ask the same question about the inverse, that if I have a thread going over here in IDF-Modelling, is it acceptable to putting a link on another forum, referring here? Or would it be preferable to repost an entire new thread over on that other site?

Thanks for helping clarify this, as I'd really like to get opinions of the IDF group on my new Shot Centurion!
